Brager Heating and Cooling is a 3-generation family HVAC business. Bill Brager started the business, and while his son Dennis worked with him, sold the business to a local plumbing company. Dennis went with the sale, but eventually restarted Brager Heating and Cooling. After working alone for a few years, Dennis’ son James came aboard and helped Dennis with installs and service.
James Brager has been working in the HVAC business since 1997. After high school, James attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned his bachelor’s degree, majoring in political science. James continued to work for the family business all through college, and after a brief stint in Washington, D.C., he came back to work full time as an HVAC technician and salesman. He has found a niche specializing in energy efficiency and advanced technologies in the HVAC trade. In October 2013, James purchased the business from his father Dennis.
